This program supports smallholder cacao farmers in Kenema, Sierra Leone, whose livelihoods rise and fall with one of the world's most volatile markets. A stable income lets farmers plan beyond the next harvest — and invest in rejuvenating their gardens with healthier, more resilient trees. What's good for the farmer is good for the climate: thriving cacao gardens store carbon, preserve tree cover, and secure yields and family incomes for decades to come.
