About this program
A decade after Sierra Leone's Ebola outbreak, many survivors still live with its consequences: chronic health problems, lasting stigma, and lost livelihoods. This program provides regular income that helps survivors cover medical needs and rebuild what the epidemic took — restoring not just stability, but dignity and a place in their communities.

Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone sits on the West African coast, home to around 8.6 million people speaking Krio as the common language alongside English.
Founded in 1787 as a settlement for formerly enslaved people, it gained independence in 1961, then endured a decade-long civil war ending in 2002 and the 2014 Ebola outbreak.
Today most Sierra Leoneans live on less than three dollars a day.
