When you visit our website

Our server temporarily stores each access in a log file. Log files include IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This data is not linked to personally identifiable information and is used for analyzing trends, managing the site, and gathering demographic information. Log files are deleted automatically. We also use cookies and tracking tools, described below.

Payment services

We use Stripe for payment processing. We do not store or collect your payment card details. For crypto transactions we use Coinbase. Transactions not sent directly to our wallet address are governed by their Privacy Policy.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to optimize our website. Cookies create pseudonymised user profiles and transmit data, including browser type, operating system, referrer URL, IP address, time of request, and device, to Google servers in the US. IP addresses are anonymized (IP masking) and are never merged with other Google data.

Email marketing

You can subscribe to our mailing list to receive updates. We use Twilio SendGrid as our email platform. When subscribing, we collect your name, email, and preferences (language, country, currency). Twilio SendGrid may use email tracking to record when you opened an email and which links you clicked. We use this to improve our communications.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contributions in favor of Social Income, a non-profit organisation with a registered office in Zurich, Switzerland.

By making a contribution, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

We may sometimes make changes to these Terms without prior notice. If we make material changes that adversely affect your rights, we will let you know before they come into effect. Changes apply from the moment of publication on this website. By continuing to use Social Income after a change, you accept the new terms.


Your Participation

To become a contributor, you create an account on the website, calculate a donation amount based on 1% of your monthly income, and decide to donate this amount to a person or persons selected by Social Income.

Your contribution will be used solely in accordance with the objectives of Social Income and transferred to individuals supported by Social Income. For more information about recipients, please refer to the website.

You will choose your preferred payment option and schedule before consenting to any payment.

Payment plans by credit card can be terminated at any time on your account page or by written notification to [email protected]. Standing orders via bank transfer must be stopped at your bank. Once made, a contribution cannot be reimbursed.

Contributions made via this website are processed using a secure SSL connection. All online payments are processed by Stripe or Coinbase for cryptocurrency transactions.

Contributions to Social Income are tax deductible in some jurisdictions. After each donation, you will receive a receipt by email.

Fundraisers

Guidelines and Responsibilities

The person starting a private fundraiser on Social Income's website is responsible for setting up and running the event, including covering all costs, planning, promoting, and ensuring compliance with the law.

Social Income will create a dedicated fundraising page on its website. The fundraiser receives a unique link to this page and must direct all supporters to donate through it. The fundraiser must not accept donations or any other payments directly on behalf of Social Income.

The fundraiser may use Social Income's name and logo to promote the event, but this does not imply endorsement. Social Income reserves the right to discontinue or refuse the use of its name and logo at any time.

All data collected during the fundraiser or on the fundraising page is owned by Social Income. Social Income may allow the fundraiser to use this data to thank donors.
