About Help a Mother and Newborn Initiative
The Help a Mother and Newborn Initiative (HMNI) is a women- and youth-run non-profit working to improve reproductive, maternal, and newborn health outcomes in Liberia through sustainable, evidence-based interventions.
With a vision of a society where every woman, adolescent, and newborn receives the healthcare, education, and support they need to thrive, the organization runs maternity support clubs, peer-to-peer adolescent clubs, and health facility strengthening — equipping rural clinics with essential drugs and equipment while expanding knowledge and access for first-time mothers and young people.
Mission
This NGO empowers women, adolescents, and families with knowledge, resources, and access to comprehensive healthcare, reducing maternal and newborn mortality across rural Liberia.
